Based on our weekly readings about photoshop, there are several things that I learned throughout the process of creating this meme project.

  1. Resizing an image:

Based on the week 6 reading,” to resize an image the height and width of the image needs to be measured and sometimes when resizing an image you may need to select the resample to change the number of pixels that are on  your image.”

  1. Resizing Layers:

Based on the weekly readings on photoshop and what we learned in our previous class on layers, in the layers panel in photoshop  the layers panel provides you with one or more layers that contain images or objects that you want to resize.

When I worked on my meme assignment, there was an edit feature I noticed while working in photoshop. When I right clicked, there was a button called “Free Transform.” According to photoshop, free transform works on layers individually. The purpose of free transforming is to scale images proportionally.

Overall ,I learned so much from creating a meme. However, there were some  challenges. When I was creating the meme, I struggled a lot. First, I had a photo of a spongebob creating a rainbow and I also had a photo of Patrick pointing. The most important photo that was incorporated into the film was a Google image of the space galaxy. So I struggled with putting all of the photos in the appropriate place in order for the meme to work. After several trial and error attempts, I finally learned how to incorporate the photos that I wanted into photoshop. My tutor and I worked very hard on creating this assignment, everything from applying the mask layers to certain areas in the meme and applying the text. However, I cannot exactly remember all that we did but overall I learned something new and it was a really good experience.
